Surfside Labs- Treasure Coast's Finest Labs

When I met my husband he had a black lab, named Charlie, and that was 30 years ago. I was in love with Charlie he was fun loving and a great dog. That was the beginning of my dog world, when we lost him at 15 1/2 years we got 2 yellow females labs. I went to dog shows in the area and then bred one of them. I was on my way to finding out all that I could. I was lucky and got a show male who loved to show and did quite well. He taught me so much thru the years. While showing I heard about service dogs and decided that was something I was interested in. I have 5 working service dogs. (wheelchair assist.) Their graduations have brought tears to my eyes. They are so important to their new companions. It is a bond that is incredible. That is what started me on pet therapy work. I have been doing pet therapy in Martin County for several years now. I go to nursing homes assisted living facilities and do grade school education. Paws to read, safety, pet suitcase program (everything your pet needs to be healthy and happy).Five of my labs are certified therapy dogs with Therapy Dogs Inc.

I am also an evaluator for Therapy Dogs Inc. and have been doing that for the last 7 years. After seeing the importance of these dogs visits it is something I find to be a WIN/WIN/WIN situation. The dogs LOVE it, people LOVE it, and you feel good too after doing it! I also go to confirmation shows, some agility (for fun only), and obedience. My dogs are a part of our lives and live in the house with my husband and myself. We continue our learning venture of labs daily as you can never know enough and they continue to teach us patiently, lovingly, happilness, as is their nature. We have 5 acres fenced in with pond and my whole house is tiled.

The Rules are no coming in wet and no playing in the house. We have a Garden Center out front, someone is always home and they get lots of socialization. All my breeding labs have OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) hips elbows and eyes certified. We bred with sires who also have their clearances. All of my pups are home raised with tons of love, socialization, and care. They have their first set of shots, wormed, and health certificates. They are also started on heart guard prevention. All family pets are sold on AKC limited registration. I am always here and if for any reason you are no longer able to care for your Surfside lab I will take them back.
